NEW SITE CHANGES!

You may have noticed that over the past few months quiet changes have been made to the site. First we gave you new artist pages. Check out your favorite and you'll find widgets, videos, music, and much more. Plus they look great.

A few weeks back we also updated our Artists page. You'll see highlighted artists up top in blue. These change as artists are updated with news, video, and music. This is a great page to make your first port-of-call after the news section!

Today we've relaunched three other pages. Music and Video are all new. You can now embed all of our music and video posted to the site in your blog, web site, or MySpace/Facebook profiles. At the right of these pages you'll see charts driven by what YOU do on our site. You can also leave comments at all songs and videos, rate them, and favorite them in our new profile system (more on that in a sec).

The Releases page has gotten a huge makeover. Every album now has its own home page where you can see the available tracks, rate it, leave a review, or comment on others' reviews. Snazzy huh?

Finally, we just launched our new profile pages. If you're a subscriber to our email newsletters, you can log in, add your own picture, keep track of the latest updates on our site (and partner sites), follow your favorite videos and music, and tell us what bands you want to hear about.

Of course, many of these new features require that you be a member of the site to use them, so please join today!

We are, of course, in a beta phase and need your help to make the site work the best for YOU. If you see any problems or want to suggest changes to the new features, please send an email to webmaster@roadrunnerrecords.com with "NEW SITE REPORT" in the subject line. If you receive an error, please be as detailed as possible, including what page you were on, what browser you are using, and copy any error message you receive into the body of the email.

So I was wandering around the Mayhem Festival at the Nassau Coliseum on Wednesday and I run into these PETA folks giving away Lamb of God DVDs in exchange for signing a petition against something or other. They seemed to avoid me. Probably because I was wearing this shirt.

HATEBREED'S NEW VIDEO BECOMES MYSPACE PICK

Connecticut hardcore/metal legends, Hatebreed, have just announced they will debut their new live concert video for "Destroy Everything" as a Myspace Exclusive Video Premiere. The destruction can be experienced by going to the "music" section under the www.myspace.com main page on Thursday, August 16th.

Check out what Jamey has to say about their new video, "Destroy Everything": "We filmed this video in front of 30,000 raging German fans. It was a show we will never forget and we're very happy to have it captured on film for everyone to see!"

"Destroy Everything" was directed by Martin Kames and filmed during their live With Full Force performance. The "Destroy Everything" video marks the second video from the band's 2006 Roadrunner Records Supremacy release.

Currently, the band is on tour headlining the Ozzfest second stage wreaking havoc and laying waste across America. Come check out the mayhem and devastation for yourself!! JAMEY JASTA OF HATEBREED ON FUSE TONIGHT

6 PM TONIGHT is your chance to see Jamey Jasta discuss this year's Dimebag Darrell Black Tooth Bash on FUSE.

Hatebreed front man, Jamey Jasta, will be hosting this year's Dimebag Darrell Black Tooth Bash on May 17, 2007 at the House of Blues in Los Angeles. Featuring a slough of guest performances, Dimebag's Black Tooth Bash will be an all-star event, with all proceeds going to the Little Kids Rock foundation, Dimebag Darrell's charity of choice. The Black Tooth Bash will include mash up performances by the Black Tooth Band, featuring Vinnie Paul Abbott, Scott Ian, John 5, Matt Byrne (Hatebreed), Ripper Owens, David Draiman (Disturbed), Bob Zilla (Damageplan) Dave Navarro, Chester Bennington (Linkin Park) and many more. The Black Tooth Band will cover material from Dimebag's many projects - including Pantera classics. Jamey will close the night by performing as part of the Black Tooth Band and will be hosting the entire tribute event.

Jasta will also be introducing a special performance by the L.A. division of The Little Kids Rock Foundation, showing the fruits of the foundation's labors. The Black Tooth Bash is an apropos tribute to Dimebag's impact on metal and his ardent dedication to bringing the arts to children. In support of the Black Tooth Bash, Coffin Case, Seymour Duncan, Dean Guitars, Schecter Guitars, EMG Pickups and GHS Strings have jumped on as the evening's sponsors.

Preceding the Black Tooth Bash is the Six String Masterpieces: The Dimebag Darrell Art Tribute auction, where over 60 hand-painted Dean guitars (painted by celebrities and famous tattoo artists) will be auctioned off. Proceeds from the auction will benefit The Little Kids Rock Foundation, helping bring music programs to public schools throughout the US. Fittingly, Dimebag will also be inducted into the Hollywood Rockwalk at noon the same day, establishing his timeless impact on the rock and metal world.

As we announced yesterday, Hatebreed has been confirmed to headline the second stage at Ozzfest. Today we can confirm that Roadrunner labelmates Daath and 3 Inches of Blood will also be part of the 8 bands featured on the second stage. Remember that there are a few changes this time around. First, OZZFEST IS FREE! Second, no shows will be starting before noon. Finally, some shows will be running as late as 6:30. You should be able to get a full day of metal out of the fest.
